Passport Expires but Visa is still Good

My passport with my UK Ancestry Visa in it expires in January, but the visa is still good for another year after that. Can I just travel with both passports and keep working on that visa?

Has anyone ever done this?

Yes, as long as you have your renewed password with you as well the expired password with VISA, you are fine!
