Passport expires within 6 months

Hi,

I am a Canadian, who works in US on H1B as consultant. I have an assignment in Mexico City starting next week, but my passport expires within 6 months. I heard that, for international travel, the passport needs to be valid at least for another 6 months ?

Could someone confirm that ?

Depends on country. You would need to conatact Mexican authorities. Typically sucjh requirements are in place if one needs a visa. Do you, to work in Mexico?
Their requirements for entry into Mexico may be more lax for Cdns, but this may be for tourist rather than work purposes.
