Passport Photos in Birminham AL?

Does anybody have any experience with obtaining passport photos here? I've already wasted one set, and have made several phone calls but I'm not having much luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet may be to contact a professional (yellow pages, internet search, craigslist, etc)and give him the requirements and see if he can do it. I know many camera stores take passport pics

Clearly, our poster has consulted the PP bureau standards -- in fact one set has already been rejected by PP office.

These are so troublesome, thta I always advise, anytime travelling to canada within a year of expiry, to get the photos done at any photo place in canada, and then send in your application.

Better yet, pay the extra 30 bucks for expedited and have the whole process done in a week while up in canada.

The "by mail from US" is really risky amd takes forever.

I send mine in snail mail last year at time and had it back in less than 3 weeks. The process has sped up a great deal. Many on VJ have mailed it in from the USA and they have experienced around the same time frame

Maybe I did read too much into their post.

I did however assume that that (a) the phone was working at the time, otherwise any assistance at this point is really moot and (b) they were calling photographers. I notice that you didn't even assume that. I guess they may have been calling caterers after all, in which caes they will never get acceptable pictures.

We all make assumptions based on what we read however, otherwise these threads can get a little tedious.

Being an ex-military guy, I know what assume does (a$$ out of u and me,lol) I always wonder in a few of those magazine articles how the author of that piece manages to stay afloat??? As people ask questions that are very very basic. A simple internet search would provide the answer right away!

One never knows what another has done to search for their answer. Yes, if one is going to be in Canada, it is best to get it done there. Others on here have stated CVS can change their system to meet CDN requirements, sears too is a possibility! How hard could it be for a professional to do the same??? Maybe its just not worth their time to do it. I know here in the DC region, many of the small time mom/pop camera stores do it.

I'm always amazed when some first come to this site, after having found it on the internet -- not an easy find btw -- and then ask a question that would have been found by an even simpler search of the internet.
