passport photos in KS City

Post Wed Dec 31, 2008 9:31 am

Dear All:

Can anyone please advise if there is any photographer that can take passport photos for Canadian passport? As we know Canadian passport photos have different specs. I shopped around, but was hard to find one.

Thanks,

A lot of these chainstores can actually do them, but they don't realize they can do them. The cameras they use have settings on them that switch between different types of photo, but they probably aren't familiar with the setting for the Canadian passport photos because they rarely do them.

Go into a print shop or somewhere like that, which has some decent photography equipment and ask the manager or whomever knows how to use the camera equipment in depth.

I just got mine done at a Sears Portrait Studio...I called a few other photo studios with no luck, and then found out that Sears is where a lot of people go. They have a setting on their photoprocessing program that chooses the right settings.

Don't forget to have them stamp the name and address of the studio on the back.

Yep, try Sears Portrait Studio. I had mine done there recently, they have all the set up for Canadian sizes.

Unfortunately a lot of the other shops have recently changed their machines for doing passport photos so can't do Canadian sizes anymore, and/or they refuse to do them because Passport Canada is so picky and they get rejected 80% of the time.
