Passport Processing in Japan/Tokyo

Has anyone applied for a new Passport at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo? How long it it take for you to have it processed?

I need to have a new passport by early December to travel and I am unsure if I can take the risk of not having my passport ready in time My other option is to travel with my current passport but risk being denied entry to countries that require 6+ months validity (thailand)!

Any input would be greatly appreciated

I don't know about Tokyo but I renwe mine when in India and it took 10 days.
