Passport Processing Times when shipping from USA

Just learned the hard way, so am sharing:

Dont mail your passport by "usps priority mail international flat rate envelope". Although it claims to take 6 to 10 business days, Mine has been over 15 business days. yet Passport Canada has not received it. They said USPS Priority takes usually 3 to 4 weeks to deliver and another similar time to mail back. Now I loose all money I paid to buy air ticket for travel to Canada. Thus, I recommend to all, although it cost a lot more, but do use Courier services to mail yr passport to Canada for renewal. "usps priority mail international.. sucxs"

A lot more? Isn't one $10 and the other $20.

USPS is almost dead.

I mailed mine last yr good old snail mail with USPS, only the cost of a few stamps! Had the passport back in my possession in just under 3 weeks!! But the wiser method would probably would be UPS
