I hope you folks can shed some light into this because I could not find anything.
As this for sure happened with most of you, I am negotiating my salary with my employer. I read in previous posts about salary, rent costs and so forth; even though, I still have some questions that need to be addressed.
A) Does anybody know if UAE companies offer pension plan ? I currently have an excellent pension plan in Canada within my employer. Would I need to factor this into my salary there in UAE ?
B) What about health and life insurance ? This is a big deal for me not only for health but also life. I am also interested in disability insurances. We tend to think that nothing will go wrong, but when you move and you are on your own I think it's better to be safe.
c) What about vacation benefits ? Is it like our system in Canada, or is it possible to negotiate 1, 2 months including travel tickets for family members (wife and children)?
