Hi there
I met my boyfriend in Toronto and he is originally from Sydney, Australia. We are now moving to Australia to start our life together. We are both in our early 20's.

If you are a girl/guy out there that relocated to Australia to be with their love, I would really like to hear from you.

I am looking for advice, tips, regrets, just share your horror and success stories. Anything you would of done different? Really anything.

Anything would be much appreciated

i'm just working on completing the final part of my residency visa as a de facto spouse. its a long process with a lot of paper work (and $) but worth it.
just remember to save ANYTHING that could be of value to proving to immigration that your relationship is genuine (photos, airline tickets, joint invitations etc-- with envelopes with postmarks, and do everything you can in joint names like utility bills, bank accounts.) just save EVERYTHING that can be remotely related to proving a genuine relationship because it saves a lot of searching around when immigration asks for it.

Hi Karolina,

I actually met my australian girlfriend in Toronto too and am looking to relocate to Melbourne sometime in Feb/March. When are you looking to relocate and how has the process been for you? I'm kind of looking at all the visa options right now and it's just daunting. Anyways, I would love to her your experiences so far or any advice you may have.

Cheers!

Loc
