photo required ? and TD Visa transfer to new passport

Hi,

I searched the forum but couldnt find answers to my simple questions.

a. A website said that a 2x2" photo is required for TN-1 Visa as per a specific photography procedure described for non-immgrant category ?

2. Family's passports expire during the TD Visa period (within 3 years). If they receive new canadian passports in US, do they need to apply for visa transfer to new passports?

Since you and thaey are Cdn, none of you need actaul consular visas, you simply apply for TN/TD status at the border upon nentry, and are issued I-94 cards, which can be removed and ransferred to subsequent passport without a problem.
