Hi everyone... I'm new to this forum. I'm currently in Toronto and planning on coming to London sometimes in September or October of 2004. Very Happy I'm hoping to find temporary employment in the field of social work and was wondering if anyone has a good idea about my prospects of finding this type of work in London. I've contacted temp. agencies in London and their reps. sound pretty enthusiatic but you never know. Anyways any thoughts, ideas or suggestions would be great!!!!

Hi ANika!

I am moving to London in October and jsut obtained a position as a social worker with Bexley Council. This is the agency I used:
http://www.bbtjobs-care.co.uk/ They have an office on Toronto as well and I interviewed via video conference.

They have temp positions as well. Hope that helps and if you want to email me at yahoo or msn with questions, please do.

Perhaps I'll see you in London!
Lori

Hi Lori

Thanks for your response. It nice to know that there'll be other fellow social workers heading over to the U.K. I'll be connecting with the agency you recommended. And if you don't mind I think I'll end up asking you a whole bunch of other questions....Thanks!!!!!
