I am currently on
TN and I will be laid off on June 30. Is it possible for a person on TN to collect UI? If so I presume it has to be done out of country since TN becomes invalid once employment ends and one has to leave the US within a very short period. Comments?

You are ineligible to collect UI in US unless you have Grren card or valid EAD.
To collect you would need to return to canada and claim UI from your state from there.
