Post-Secondary Equivalencies in the UK

I'm planning on moving to the UK in Jan 2010 and I wanted to get a head start at looking for jobs. I am wondering if there is any way to find out what my college diploma is equivalent to in the UK. I have emailed some potential employers but they don't have any idea of what my diploma entailed.

There is an agency called NARIC that will compare your Canadian degrees to British ones. It costs about £40 and you have to send in copies of all your qualifications. It takes about 3 weeks and they'll send you a letter stating your Canadian qualifications and the British equivalent. Google NARIC to find their website.
