Post-Secondary Equivalencies in the UK

Post Thu Mar 26, 2009 8:16 am

Hello,
I'm planning on moving to the UK in Jan 2010 and I wanted to get a head start at looking for jobs. I am wondering if there is any way to find out what my college diploma is equivalent to in the UK. I have emailed some potential employers but they don't have any idea of what my diploma entailed. :-|

There is an agency called NARIC that will compare your Canadian degrees to British ones. It costs about £40 and you have to send in copies of all your qualifications. It takes about 3 weeks and they'll send you a letter stating your Canadian qualifications and the British equivalent. Google NARIC to find their website.
