Hi there,

The other day my father told me about how he was at a social event and met a man who was born in Newfoundland between about 1945 and 1949 and recently was able to become a British citizen due to some unusual allowance within those few years. My father realized that he too was eligible for this as he was born in 1946 in Newfoundland. Unfortunately he did not get the details on the process of how to do this and has been unable to track down the man ever since. Does anyone out there know of the specifics of this situation and how my father could gain British citizenship after all these years?

Thanks!

Joel
