Prepping To Leave for Australia...

So I see a lot of forums giving advice about where to go in Australia, about shipping items to/from Australia or Canada and other general information, which is all very useful. But I noticed that not a lot of information is given about how to prepare to leave Canada; what should I be doing to prepare for a move? I'm keeping my bank accounts open because I still have a student loan to pay off, however, the accounts are shared with my parents in case they need to take care of something that requires them to be present. My car is insured under my parents' names as well, so pretty much all my material items are in my parents' name...But what about anything to do with the government?

Could someone please help me get an understanding as to what I need to do or forms to fill out before I leave?
