Qn re: NR-6 Tax Form (Renting a House)

Hi All,

I recently moved to Singapore (~ 2 months ago) and will be here for a few years.

I own a property back in Canada, which I will be renting out, with the intent of paying my mortgage payments with the rental income.

I understand that to prevent the deduction of withholding tax, I need to file an NR-6 form (and possibly others?).

Is anyone familiar with this process

- Do I have to file now or at the end of the year?
- Can I file myself or does an agent have to file for me?
- What representations need to be made?

Appreciate any comments/advice.

Thanks,

Yashuo
