Question about Applying for TN Visa at Pearson

Postby DBinOntario » Sun May 18, 2008 7:34 am

Hi All,

I'll be traveling to the US on June 6 to move to start a new job.

Can I apply for a TN visa prior to my flight from Pearson? If so, how much time should I give myself?

Can I apply at Pearson prior to June 6 (say June 1) but not actually cross into the US?

What is the hours of operation at Pearson?

Thanks!

No you need to show them a plane ticket for that day. Drive down to the Peace Bridge, get your TN there, then drive back up
to YYZ and fly out of there.

Yup. Chris is right.
You have to ask for a TN application at the 1st inspection ( the booth where you give your document to the CBP) and he will send you to a room where a lot of people is sitting and waiting there.

So the only way you can get in there is to present a plane tix.

I miss my plane last time and the first time doing my TN.
The officer didn't ask me a single question. He just approved it. However, it took almost 5 hrs, I guess there are just a bunch of people in front of me.

Be there early I mean way earlier.
or do the way
Chris suggested.

Is there always an agent present to issue TN status or do we have to go at a particular time?
