Question from first timer TN visa

I will be shortly receiving legal documents from US company to visit for first time TN visa. I have my credentials, professional licenses and other certifications ready for the visit.

I live in GTA. Can I get first TN visa in Toronto on a future travel eTicket well in advance-say few weeks?

If yes, then I can avoid a road trip to Buffalo only for TN visa. I would like to get TN visa and then give two week notice to current employer and not before getting TN status.

If no, it seems that a visit either to Buffalo or Detroit would be necessary.

You need to either go to the border or get it at the airport on the same day as your flight. Once you have the TN, you have to board the US-bound aircraft that day.you can't leave the security area.

No, you can't hit up Pearson for TN status days before your flight. To do that you must do it at the same time, just before your flight. There is no access to the CBP agents without checking in.

I would suggest you get yours in advance at a Border crossing, at say Buffalo just after the Peace Bridge. You're allowed to get it upto 2 weeks in advance from your start date.
