Question from scratch here

Hi, and thanks for the info.
I was having difficulty with that site that Cordobaman sent. It just didn't want to load properly. Of course, I went and checked it again, and now it's working fine. :roll
I hate computers! LOL

I knew that Scotland was considered part of the UK, but I just wanted to be absolutely certain that lineage from England would be acceptable if I'm staying in Scotland.

The sad part though, is reading that they want ORIGINAL copies. Unfortunately, my relatives just won't give them up.
They're willing to send me copies, but they don't want to part with originals in fear of losing them, as all my grandparents have passed on. I'm hoping there's some way around this, but I'm now very doubtful.
I'll have to try through that site.

If your relatives won't part with the certificates, then order them from that site. That is where I (and many other people) ordered ours from, and our applications went through without a problem. They are a government organization, so they are accepted with your application. Don't stress, just get on ordering your own copies!
