question on timing of visa and landing in UK

I read on another forum that if you qualify for the spousal visa and have been married more that 4 years outside the UK that you may be granted ILR with provisio of KOL.

Does this affect the time between applying for the visa and actually making the trip? I know with the 27 month deal you had up to 3 months to arrive to be within the 2 year time frame. But with immediate ILR is there still a time limit on entering. Or can you go anytime but must complete KOL before a certain date?
