Quick question regarding TN application

Post Wed Jun 04, 2008 7:05 pm

Hello!

I'll be applying for TN status in a couple days, but do not have the original copy of my Diploma. I will have official transcripts and verification from the school I attended in the states, USC (Fight on!), but the diploma will just be a photocopy. Will this be enough?

Please advise =)

Further Info:

TN Status will be for accountant, the degree is in Business Administration. I have all other necessary paperwork.

It depends on the POE, but in my experience, most will want the original diploma. A co-worker was turned away from Laredo for not having an original, but I don't know if he also didn't have official transcripts to offer as proof. The problem is that a transcript does not really reflect graduation status, but the letter might help with that. In Blaine, we were able to use a copy, because in Port Huron the year before we were told that a copy would suffice, so that's all we brought. The Blaine agent told us to make sure to bring the original the next time, which we did. I'll note however, that it was a request for another stint at the same company and not the first TN. Having said all that, my daughter was able to get an emergency diploma from her college in about 3-4 days.
