Rabies shot needed?

Just wondering if anyone knows if you have to have a rabies shot done before you go to britain on a YMV. I am going next summer and somebody mentioned that I may need a rabies shot. Cant find if you do or dont on the home office page.

Rabies is almost non existent in the UK.so no you do not need a rabies shot (which doesn't really exist for tourists, just for professionals like veterinarians who are at risk)
