Re-entry to the US.

Hello,

I'm currently residing the the states, on TN status.

I will be taking a trip back home to canada in the upcoming week, with a friend of mine who is of the opposite sex.

Is there any chance I will have trouble on my re-entry to the states?

I'm not sure what I would do to prove to them we're not romantically involved.

You shouldn't have any problem. TN Status allows exiting and reentering. It doesn't matter if you're romantically involved or not.
