If i renounce my Canadian citizenship can i claim refugee status in America ?

I don't think that will work. Why do you want to renounce Canadian citizenship?

You will lose your health and tax benefits. Unless you're a refugee from a communist country or country that has political warfare, you'll probably be laughed at by USCIS for trying to get US citizenship this way.

Canada is not viewed by US as a country that requires refuge from, so that is a dead end.

I have pondered this too... but I doubt it would work. This post made me LOL.
