Relocating to France in Feb - looking for work.

Postby France_Bound » Wed Dec 10, 2008 2:36 pm

Good day!

At the beginning of February I will be relocating to France with the intent of immersing myself in and learning French. I am an ESL teacher who will be looking for work and thus am curious if someone might have some helpful tips to help me on my endeavour.

All the best and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Don't want to be a downer, but the french government is cutting 12000 teaching jobs this year and more next year.

To work in France, you need a work visa. To obtain a work Visa, you need an employer who will "sponsor" you, meaning it will do the paper work to bring you in France. That is if you want to work legally of course. Have you talked to the consulate in Toronto?

If you come to France, let us know.
