I may be looking at moving down with my wife and 9 year old son. I have researched the costs and know what I am up against. But what I am having a hard time at is finding any sites that have rentals. Is it all word of mouth or company bulliten boards?
I am hoping to get a 2 bedroom for about $6000 a month, too low?
Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,

You are right, most rentals are word of mouth or company BBs. There is one site you can check (www.e-moo.com) you may get lucky there, but personally I find that site horrible - yet it's strangely popular (go figure).
Your best bet is to be here, as spaces are very limited, landlords don't really like to keep empty apartments for too long.

And to answer your question about $6k/mo. for rent - yup, no problem - I usually tell people to gauge approx. $1500-2000/bedroom - that's average.
More $$ and your looking at executive housing, which BTW some companies will give you a rental allowance.

Send me a private message if you need more info.

Cheers,
W.

Thanks for the info. The position is with the Bermuda Hospital Board and i have said I need $110,000, plus rental allowance, plus free flight a year plus scooter loan, plus up to 6 weeks lodging. And a bonus of golf club membership. We'll see how badly they want to fill this position with me.
Thanks again.
Brian
