Renting Apt in US on TN

hi all,
has anyone experience problems renting apartments in the US on a TN.exp. without US credit rating and having a newly opened bank account.just wondering if there is anything special/extra i should/need to do.

Manhattan is tough !
Other areas , not that difficult.
I know a local person to vouch for me, I had no trouble anywhere.

They do seem to discriminate against non-immigrant aliens, which is of questionable legality under the Civil Rights Act and definitely illegal under civil rights laws in some States, namely California.

At the end of the day they want money, prove you have it!
