retired and want to reside in the U.S.

I am a snowbird and reside and in the U.S. for 6 months a year. I would like to stay longer . I do
not collect any monies from the U.S. and pay taxes on my home in the U.S. How do I go about this?

Right now, there is no way to do this.

Soon, if a new law is passed, you will be able to extend your stay to 8 months, but still require home in Canada. OR if you own $500K of US real estate you can stay for 3 years.

You would lose your Cdn medical coverage however ifn either case.

There is a reason Cdns only stay 6 months out of canada, and immigration rules are only a amll part of it.
