Returning home

Post Wed Sep 19, 2007 6:17 pm

I have been away for 22 years. They tell me I need to apply with the Canadian Revenue service to let them know I will be paying taxes again. Does anyone know the name of the document they require? Having a very hard time finding it.

As long as your passport is up to date as well, I think the only other thing you would need would be a Customs Declaration form from CBSA for whatever personal and household goods you'd be shipping over.

IF any of you have any ongoing medical conditions, you might also want to get a copy of your medical files from your current doctor to bring with you.

Your advice is appreciated and helpful. So many things to do in preparation for the move and I was not sure of the welcome I would get on return with my family. Thanks.
