I am leaving in late april so I will have done my 2009 tax return. I will probably be back for a visit midway through around the same time to do any for the 2010 tax year. I will still have my parents place as my mailing address and my bank accounts and a little RRSP's coming out each month automatically so I will probably still be classed as a resident. Anyone have any advice??
Talk to a professional that's the best source. You might have to pay. But the ties you make where you are resident are as important as the ties you keep in Canada. Read the govt. website on primary and secondary ties.
