ROA - Personal Items and Customs?

Post Sun Oct 17, 2010 10:36 am

I recieved my Right Of Abode in the UK recently, and I'm leaving in a few days. I will only be there for a month. I will be working while I am there.

My question is, do I have to do anything special to bring my personal items through customs? I've heard of people having their stuff seized before, and I'm worried about it, but I have no idea how to find this information.

I heard somewhere that you have to have a list of everything you're bringing in?

Also, if I return later and actually take up residence for a year or two, will I have an problems with customs and my personal items then?

I really appreciate any advice.

If you follow the customs guideline, you should be just fine.
