Schengen member states

Postby katemay » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:12 am

I am a Canadian and have been travelling through Europe since June. I am currently living in Barcelona, and plan on staying here. By the looks of it I will be unable to get a visa, at least for right now. I am planning on going home (Toronto) for two weeks over Christmas, and am slightly concerned about being able to get BACK into Barcelona!

I am under the impression (not sure if this is correct??) that I am allowed to be in the Schengen states for 3 months and then must be OUT (back in Canada or wherever) for another 3 months before I am allowed back in. Obviously I have not been out for 3 months and I'm concerned that if I go home for Christmas I won't be let back in.

I currently hold a UK visa (valid until October 2011) and the last stamp on my passport is for October in London, there are no other stamps passed that (they never stamped it when I arrived back in Barca). Do you think that (if I get questioned) I can just say that I have been in London since October and am visiting friends for New Years in Barcelona??

I DO plan on acquiring a Spanish visa, it just isn't possible at this point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am kinda freaking out!!! I so want to go home, but I also want to be able to come back to my home in Barcelona after Christmas.

Thanks!!! :)
