Schools in France

Post Mon Sep 06, 2010 7:11 pm

My husband and I would like to live in France for a year. We have a 9 year old boy and would like to find a good french or bilingual school for him to attend. We would prefer to stay away from very large cities (e.g. Paris) and I think we would prefer the south of France but we are flexible. We will go where the best school can be found? Does anyone have some experience in this area or any suggestions on where to start looking...any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

We have been looking for a truly bilingual school in Paris. We have found the Bilingual International School of Paris. The school is truly bilingual, children spend half of their time immersed in English and the other half immersed in French with a bilingual native speaker in each class, like this the children don't get frustated or obliged to speak in the "class language", but the teacher will always answer them in their "class language".

They as well have drama incorporated to their program which greatly helps the children speach to develop.

You can discover more about the school and their philosophy at bilingualschoolparis.com
