Scientific Technician Supervisor

Post Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:57 pm

Hello,

I am applying for a TN under the Scientific Technician: Engineering category. If my supervisor has an engineering degree, but has a job that falls under Computer Systems Analyst, will that be a problem?

Thank you for your replies.

Hi,
As far as I know you can work as an associate to an Engineering Technician...whether it is computer related or other. You also have to have a written job offer from your prospective employer to show border authorities to obtain an 1-94 work authorization.

I am an electromechanical technician looking for work in South Orange County, California. I am a Canadian and would apply for a TN Visa also once I can find the company that wants to hire a Canadian. If you know of any companies please let me know.

CBP doesn't care about who your supervisor is. They probably won't even ask. I wouldn't worry about it.
