Scottish/candian born gal wants to emirgrate

Hi , everyone please could someone give me some advice...I was born in Edmonton canada my parents are scottish I also have a canadian birth certificate! I returned to scotland when I was 8 years old. I now have a british passport and it states on that I was born in canada. Anyway I'll get to the point.. I want to emirgrate and have decided to stay with relatives till I find employment in canada I have many skills. I want to know would I need a visa and what else would I need to do in preparation for this to happen. would i be allowed back to live in canada if I was born there.? How long does it take to get duel citizenship and do you think I would need it? any advice would be helpful.

You are a Cdn citizen. Period. It would probably be useful for you to get a Cdn passport, but I'm pretty sure you don;t even need that.

No visa is required.

Its called a social insurance number (SIN).

I would wait until moving, unless you are comfortable being without your birth cert for a few weeks. you will definitely need to show your birth cert to get into canada, so SIN is low priority.

I have booked my flight and I am very excited but noticed in the email it states if you do not have a return ticket you need a visa or some sort of proof that you can stay there! I didn't book my return as want to get a good deal at the last min and also will be looking for work! do u advise I take my birth certificate with me to the airport incase they refuse me?

Your Cdn birth cert should do.

As I said earlier, you will want at some point to get your Cdn passport, but right now your bc is fine.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me again..I am looking for travel Insurance for people who are immirgrating also it has to include pre-excisting medical conditions as I have a under active thyroid and I need to be able to get a prescription. Do you know of any good companys?
