Well, I submitted my application for a settlement visa, and have booked my appointment. I have two questions:

Using the Toronto VAC location, this is apparently inside the Eaton Centre? Whereabouts exactly is it? I thought the Eaton Centre was just shops and things.

And second, considering the following list, are there any documents I have neglected to include

Passports (both current and expired) - Wife's passport (she's British)
Financial guarantee from bank for university fees
Income tax forms - both of us
Bank statements (about 5 months' worth, including a current balance of all accounts)
Wife's record of current employment
Wife's bank acct statements
Record of Marriage
Birth Certificate - long forms - both mine and hers (original from Wales)
Evidence of acceptance/residence at Oxford
Evidence of long-term relationship - rent receipt from years ago, house purchase contract more recently
My educational background - although not an official document, the closest I could get
My wife's educational/professional background
Copies of wife's job-search emails
Letter of intent to settle

There's probably a few more I'm forgetting to add, and I know I'm coming off like a nervous Norvis, but I'd like my application to be as strong as possible to be accepted. If someone could let me know if I should add something else, I would appreciate it.

Cheers,
UKBound (hopefully)

The Toronto VAC is on the 25th floor (Suite 2500).

I'd think you have a pretty complete list there- a heck of a lot more than the list we have for our Ancestry visa apps we're doing in late July.

From what I've read, I've never hard of anyone turned away for a visa yet, so you should be OK. I've read that once a visa is issued, you have up to 90 days to enter the UK, and they want to have an idea of when you plan on going as well.

Good luck and please let me know how your experience goes!
