Shipping a car from Canada to Europe

Hello, I would like to ship my car from Montreal to Europe. Can you suggest some company that does this? Also, how about the insurance? Thanks a lot.

I moved from Toronto to Europe in 2004 and shipped my car over along with my other belongings in a 40' shipping container.

We shipped with MSC, but everything was organized through a broker.

The container was loaded onto a truck in Toronto and shipped by train to Montreal where it was then loaded onto a ship. The ship made a few stops before reaching the final destination, and total shipping time was roughly 3.5 weeks.

We got an amazing deal and only paid about $1800 with insurance. I know other people who have paid over $3000 for the same thing.

I'm also looking to ship a car to Europe, I live in Winnipeg, does anyone know how I could insure my car in Canada while it is in Europe? Manitoba Public Insurance does not insure cars outside of North America however I see Ontario Plates frequently in Europe, I'm currently in Ukraine, where foreign cars are allowed if they leave the country every 3 / 6 months which is not an issue for me. I also understand shipping is straightforward and cost effective through Germany, I also have an Audi which has rear fog lights and side signals and should meet Euro Standards, however importation tax would exceed $6000 so i'd rather keep Canadian plates... Any Ideas ?
