Hey my fellow Canucks.

I am moving back to Canada as my visa expires in a couple of months. I have to ship a few things back, nothing major ( Winter clothes, sporting goods, Kitchen stuff, and a few bits and bobs). I have been looking online but they seem to focus mainly on major moves furniture etc.

I am just looking to ship 4 or 5 boxes.

Does anyone have any suggestions as I am running out of time and most magazines here cater to the Aussies, Kiwi's and SAFO's.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mail Boxes Etc.? They mainly deal with boxes and can definitely ship to Canada, though I'm not sure how affordable their services are.

Have you tried looking at postal services rather then containers? My friend had some boxes posted to her when you moved to Britain - it did take a couple months, but then so does containers.

Or check with the airline about additional luggage - it may be less hassle to pay the excess charge? (probably the most expensive option though unless you can whittle your belongings down to less boxes)

Depends on how large the boxes are, if commercial services like Fedex and UPS appear to be too expensive and you can't get it on the flight as excess baggage, get hold of a freight forwarder at Heathrow.

Hello.
I arrived in the UK from Canada only 3 weeks ago and my stuff was shipped by Britannia Movers. This UK-based company is linked with AMJ Campbell International which packed and shipped my stuff from Ottawa. I was very happy with the service from both Britannia and AMJ. Hope this information helps!

water transport is the cheapest as airlines charge a lot for extra baggage. Another option is UPS and they are reasonable i think.
