Hi,
I got a petition letter from my potential employer in the US. I noticed that there is no mention of the starting date, and only the period is mentioned (the letter does have a time stamp on it). Is this going to be a problem? Does anyone have a link to exactly what should be included in the petition letter?
Thanks in advance!
Raj
I haven't been in TN status for awhile but all my petition letters had a precise period mentioned, and I always entered (in practice, this means I re-entered) a couple of days before the start date. You might get by with the existing letter (esp with the time stamp) but I'd recommend asking the employer for a revised letter.
edited: Actually in the other thread Steven pointed you to 8 CFR 214.6 which actually doesn't seem to require the start/end date but only the length of stay. However it still sounds like the appearance of the letter may be a bit unorthodox and I'd recommend having the dates of both the letter and the employment a bit more clearly spelled out.
