I just thought I would share this handy site.

http://www2.digitaldistractions.org:8080/torrents2.php

It is a site with links to Torrent files, and it seems to have a lot of Canadian shows, Trailer Park Boys, Rick Mercer Report, etc.

Enjoy, I know I have.

And I hope I haven't violated any AUP by this post. if I did. sorry! Crying or Very sad

I used to visit that site a lot, mainly to get old British comedies (i.e. Yes, Minister), and occasionally to download Rick Mercer (although I think the quality of this particular show has slipped too low for the effort to download it anymore).

I really wish the site would be opened up more, i.e. letting people upload their own torrents (rather than just the site owner) - much like UKNova does with British TV and radio torrents.

There's lots of obscure Canadian TV that I've love to request (i.e. BC politics shows), and there's some equally obscure stuff that I'd like to share (i.e. comedy such as Great Scott!. televsion that bothers you), but there aren't any Canadian-themed torrent sites at the moment.

Oh well.

You can get the Rick Mercer Report here--> http://www.cbc.ca/mercerreport/ with out having to download. I still think he's hysterical and love the rants.

Now why isn't he gonna be at Canada Day in Trafalgar Square!?!

I see on CTV's site you can watch their programs, but only if you are in Canada. How rude!

As an aside, Blue and White Army- what in the world is the Rhino Party? Eh?

Welcome to the site Scootter!

Thanks very much for the welcome! Smile

Like the CTV site, I ran into the same thing on ABC's site when trying to watch the new Lost (yes I am addicted) Smile

I mean, surely the point of putting your programs on your website is to benefit people who can't see it on TV. sheesh! Oh well, maybe the Rhino party can make this an election issue next time round.

Unless poor Mr. Harper gets decapitated prior. sorry in poor taste I know, but it's so shocking to think something like that would be planned in Canada, what else can you do but laugh?

Sorry to go off topic, but to answer oohmercyme's question, the Rhinoceros Party is a satirical political party that lampoons the utter ridiculousness of mainstream politics. It was registered with Elections Canada and ran candidates until 1993, when it folded due to a crackdown on "fringe" parties.

But we're back! And about to re-launch the party in the months to come.

Have a look here for more info:
