Awwww that'd be sweet. I haven't had one of those in 10 years!

I think there's a 7-11 or two around in Central London but I don't think I've been in them to notice slurpee machines. They have things called Slush Puppies over here but its not the same.

Hi Sleepy,

As a fellow Slurpee-holic I feel your pain. Sad

Particularly as I am from the Slurpee capital of the world 3 years running, Winnipeg. Smile

There are no more 7-11s in London, or indeed in the UK, trademark problems with the Southland corporation, so alas you have come to a Slurpee-less island.

I can make one in my kitchen as I picked up a small slurpee maker in eBay, but unless you are close to P'boro that won't help you much. Smile

If you are really jonesing for one, you can combine a slurpee fix with a trip to a very interesting city, Istanbul.

EasyJet flies there cheaply now, and at the Burger King, near Taksim square, you can get what they call a Cola Buzz-Buzz, which is a geunine slurpee. Smile

Aside from that, I haven't seen a 7-11 in any of my European travels to date, so you may have to wait until your next trip home, or alternatively, if you are on holiday in Bangkok you can get slurpees from the 7-11s there as well.

Good luck!

Chris, you're soooo right. A Slush Puppy isn't fit to hold a Slurpee's spoon straw.

Scooter, thanks for reporting those Slurpee sightings! Information like that is gold to the Slurpee aficionado!

I wonder how much it would cost to import an authentic Slurpee machine and a season's supply of Slurpee ingredients? I could recoup the costs by selling Slurpees in Trafalgar Square.

I'll be going home for Christmas. I can't wait to enjoy a Coke Slurpee in the middle of a Canadian winter! I'm serious.

I would kill for a Slurpee today, it's hot as hell here! At the pool where my kids swim they have a "Frutini" machine and although they are not up to Slurpee standards, they are pretty good but only come in fruit flavours so no cola sadly. LOL

Hey Sleepy.

A kindred spirit! I am from Winnipeg as I mentioned and there is nothing like a Coke Slurpee when it's -30. Smile

I was such an addict as a kid I had a map of every 7-11 in the city, so that no matter where we may be driving I could tell my dad where to get me a slurpee. amazing that I still have my own teeth and do't weigh 500 lbs. Smile

Hiya,

I too am from the Peg. Well grew up in Kenora, but lived in Winnipeg for several years. And boy do I miss slurpees!

That and Timmy's. Sigh.
