social work recruitment

Postby jraina » Thu Oct 15, 2009 7:53 pm

Hi there,

I am a BSW with three years experience (plus placements). I have started applying for the GSCC status, and am now looking at recruitment agencies. Just to cover all bases, I'd like to do a bit of a comparison of the different agencies.

If you have experience being recruited by any agency (for social work), could you share your experience with me? I'd really like to make the most informed decision.

If you feel comfortable doing so, could you include any fees the company charged you, support services the offered, bonuses or incentives, etc.

I really appreciate your insight!

hey jen - im from not far from you - in windsor
i initially was going to go with agencies but in the end decided to apply to the jobs directly without agencies. tradewind and hays seem to be the biggest. i was in contact with tradewind frequently before deciding not to go with them.

when are you thinking of coming over?
