Socializing in MX City

Post Sun May 17, 2009 4:49 pm

Hello all,
I'm originally from QC City and Ottawa and I just moved about a week ago to Mexico City for both work and study. As a newcomer, my social circles here are relatively limited...

I was wondering if there were any associations, clubs or informal gatherings among Canadians here in MX City. If there aren't, perhaps we can start some? I'm particularly interested in meeting young expats (20-ish, early 30s) or students.

Thanks,

From a fellow Ottawan, welcome to Mexico City!

Best place to find clubs for expats, or otherwise, would be the English daily called The News. It's available at Sanborn's and some street stands. Tiempo Libre is also a good weekly for a number of events, classes, and gatherings.

I regularly organize gatherings for expat English teachers in the city as that's the field I work in. Let me know if you'd like to join one...
