The SSA will issue you your SSN after they confirm your immigrant status with the USCIS. It takes a minimum 2 weeks for your
TN information to get updated and out to all the agencies.
Are you saying you've already had jobs in the US, and already have an SSN?

The SSA has no access to Canadian tax records.

And correct me if I am wrong, all the SSA needs is your passport with I-94, I took the binder with all my
TN paperwork with me and they didn't need it (although I would still recommend bringing it with you, just in case). If your paperwork is good enough for CBP it should be good enough for the SSA.

Don't forget that you need to apply for the SSN. It doesn't get issued automatically.

Depends on your status, TN-1 is weird for lots of reasons, usually you would need your passport/NEXUS card, I-94 and I-797 for most categories but they don't need all of it, just the USCIS stuff.
