Hi everyone my question is regarding a spousal visa.
my husband is a UK born citizen an I'm Canadian. we were married Oct 2010 in Canada and I have decided I would like to move to the UK with him. I have recently come back from a 5 month visit to the UK where we purchased a home, because I sold my house in Canada we were able to purchase it outright with no mortgage.
My question is because I went out to the UK for 5 months I had to leave my job with Canada post and I have no income from the past 6 months So I cannot provide pay stubs. Will my income tax return from 2010 be sufficient to prove my previous income? I do have about $ 30,000 in savings and since being back in Canada (2 weeks ago)I have obtained part time employment as a bus driver. My husband is employed full time in the UK making approx £ 1500 a month after tax but only since may 2011 before then he was receiving public funds. Is this going to affect being able to receive my visa?
we are now both employed I have an excellent employment history I have been employed since I was 16 (I am now 40) We have no intention of receiving public funds and own a home outright with no mortgage and I have plenty of saving neither of us has any debt.
I guess I'm just need reassurance that i have a good chance of qualifying for a spousal visa
If anyone could let me know what they think of my situation and my chances of receiving my visa it would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Ivy
