SSN, F-1 and TN

I was on F-1 from Aug 2005-July 2008.

In May 2006, I got a SSN for my optional practical training (OPT), which was valid with my employment authorization card.

I switched to TN status in July 2008, and am wondering, is the SSN I have still valid, or do I need to get a new one?

If the SS card does not say "Not authorized for employment", you are good to go with what you have.

All it says is "Valid for work only with DHS authorization".

So I'm okay? Should I tell SSA that I have changed status?
