Still married can I get unmarried Partner visa

I have been with my girfriend for 5 years. I was married 10 years ago but we split and never got a divorce. Can i still get an unmarried visa to my girlfriend even though I am married but not with that person for over 9 years?

You must both be able to show that:
any previous marriage or civil partnership that either of you was in has permanently broken down;

permanently broken down, in practice, means divorced so, except in extraordinary circumstances, u will need to produce ur divorce certificate. it's extremely difficult to show that a marriage has permanently broken down if u choose not to divorce ur spouse.

Ummm... because that's illegal! Just like anything else in a legal procedure, you must tell the truth; if you with hold information, you are committing fraud, and they don't take too kindly to that, no matter what country you're in. When they find out you're still married, they will deport you, and you will not be able to enter the UK for a long period of time. I heard ten years; it could be less or it could be more.

You're better off to get the annulment/divorce now, and spend that large amount of money, just so that you won't jeopardize your chances of entering/staying in the UK.
