stuck in zimbabwe waiting for indef leave to remain transfer

hi can anyone help .... my parnter of 9yrs is stuck in zimbawe wating for his indef leave to remain in the uk transfered to is new passport he been waiting 6 weeks now can anyone give me any idea of the time to process this he already has it , he lived in uk for 27yrs , had to get new passport and waiting for stamp , no one will tell him anthing, any one with help,
