Student Visa with a criminal conviction

Do any members know what the possibility of getting a student visa is if you have a criminal record? I was convicted of impaired driving about a year ago. I plan on starting grad school in England this fall. I could not find any info about this on the UK embassy website or on the guidance documents for visa forms. Any advice would be really helpful. Thank you.
