Study part-time with a TN-1

Post Mon Dec 19, 2011 8:23 pm

I am currently working in the U.S. on a TN-1 Visa and I'm wondering if its possible for me to attend a part-time MBA program here in the U.S. without applying for a F-1 Student Visa.

I have seen on some school's websites that international students that have an F-1 visa are required to study full-time and cannot take part-time classes. So does mean that if I wish to pursue an MBA here in the US that I would need to quit my job and become a full-time student?

Yes, studying is considered "incidental" to yoru TN status (ie. it does not violate it).
Most schools will accept TN as status.

You cannot hold TN and any other status at same time, so TN is the way to go.
