Switching from WHMV to work permit visa whilst in the UK

i am sure u have read on different websites that u must purchase ur flight before u apply for ur visa. i am also sure that this is false because we didn't do this!

it's helpful to have evidence that u are considering the application seriously. including with ur supporting documents a printout of a dummy booking that does not go as far as actually putting in ur credit card details is an example of such evidence because it shows that u have done some investigation.

Oh ok, yeah makes sense! Does my Youth Mobility Visa activate when I get it in the mail, or when I land in Britain?

just as for the working holidaymaker visa that is about to be abolished, i fully expect the clock to start ticking as soon as ur entry clearance has been approved.

You can stay in the UK for up to two years from the date you were first given permission to enter as a working holidaymaker. We will count any time you spend outside the UK during that period as part of the two years.
